The Cepļi ceramics workshop invites you to join our pottery-making classes. For everyone — young and old, and everyone in between — who wants to step away from the bustle of the city and spend time immersed in the sounds of nature. Come feel the soft, yielding nature of clay in your hands, and discover your own ability to create.

Working with clay develops a person's sensory perception of the world, which is especially important for children of preschool age. Discovering one's creative abilities and talents encourages a person to be active and effective in any life situation.

In just 1–2 hours, you can enjoy relaxing to the comforting purring of our resident cats, step into the role of a potter, and shape yourself a practical clay bowl or morning tea mug from a 0.5 kg lump of clay. Depending on the type of clay (brown/white), the pieces are fired over the course of about 1–2 months. You can either come back later to pick them up, or, for an additional fee (€10), have them shipped via DPD courier.

You can sign up for classes individually, with family and friends, as school groups, or as work colleagues/teams.

Individual class: €80 per 1h, 2 h - 120 EUR. The price includes professional guidance from an experienced instructor, materials, and the firing of one piece made from a 0.5 kg lump of clay. Firing of additional pieces – €15 per unit. 

Class for 2–3 people: €120 1h

Group Pottery Class (from 4 person) price:  35 EUR per person. There's the opportunity to work on a potter's wheel or use the ancient hand-building (coil/pinch) technique. The price includes materials and the firing of one piece per person. Firing of additional pieces – €15 per unit.

For school groups (15–30 students)  tour + pottery class:   20 EUR per student. Pieces are made using hand-building/small-sculpture techniques. The price includes materials and the firing of 1–3 pieces per student. Duration: 90 min.
